Strong Economy and Governance

  • An “Economic Charter” (Misaq-e-Maeeshat) shall be prepared in consultation with political parties, economists, and all stakeholders.
  • The interest-based economy and interest-based banking shall be abolished.
  • By eliminating illegal profiteering mafias and cartels, stability in the prices of food items and essential commodities shall be ensured.
  • A fair formula for direct and indirect taxes shall be developed.
  • The General Sales Tax (GST) shall be reduced to below 5%.
  • Bank fees on inward and outward remittances shall be reduced.
  • A comprehensive strategy shall be formulated to achieve freedom from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and domestic and foreign debts.
  • The State Bank of Pakistan Act shall be reviewed, and the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan shall be made accountable to Parliament and the government.
  • Agricultural tax shall be introduced gradually, and e-abiana (digital water charges) and e-malia (digital land revenue) schemes shall be implemented.
  • Non-development expenditures shall be reduced by 30%. Wastefulness in government institutions shall be eliminated, and a culture of simplicity and moderation shall be adopted.
  • Instead of selling or privatizing national institutions, competent management shall be appointed to make them profitable.
  • The facility of expensive luxury official vehicles and free fuel shall be withdrawn from current and former Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, federal and provincial ministers, Speakers of the national and provincial assemblies, the Chairman Senate, current Chief Justice, serving judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, and senior civil and military officers.
  • By ending tax exemptions enjoyed by capitalists, feudal lords, and the wealthiest elite, annual savings of Rs. 200 billion shall be achieved.
  • An effective accountability system shall be established, in accordance with the Constitution, for impartial and across-the-board accountability.
  • An “accountability system” shall be formed so that bribery, commissions, kickbacks, and all forms of corruption can be completely eradicated.
  • The heads of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the FIA shall be appointed on the basis of proven competence, eligibility, trustworthiness, and integrity.
  • NAB, the FIA, and all investigative institutions shall be reorganized, and political interference and retaliatory actions shall be prohibited.
  • Corrupt elements shall be given strict punishments in accordance with Shariah, including death and life imprisonment. Plea bargaining shall be abolished.
  • The current unjust slab-rate system for electricity and gas shall be abolished.
  • WAPDA and K-Electric shall be restructured, and unjustified increases in electricity prices shall be prevented.
  • Industrialists shall be encouraged to invest in achieving self-sufficiency in the production of hydropower equipment, solar energy panels, and wind turbines.
  • A system shall be established to keep tourist destinations pollution-free and to ensure security and the determination and control of appropriate prices.
  • Highways and connecting roads shall be constructed to promote tourism.
  • Large-scale tree-plantation campaigns shall be launched to plant new forests, and laws for the protection of wildlife shall be enforced.
  • Complete records of government institutions shall be digitized in line with modern requirements.
  • Education and training in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) shall be encouraged.
